About this tool
A natal (birth) chart is a map of the sky at the exact moment and place you were born. It shows the Sun, Moon and planets by zodiac sign and house, plus the Ascendant and Midheaven, and the aspects (angles) between them. This calculator draws the wheel and lists every placement, with Placidus, whole sign or equal houses.
Frequently asked questions
What is a natal chart?
It is a snapshot of the sky for your birth moment, divided into twelve houses. It is the starting point for almost every astrological technique.
Do I need my exact birth time?
The time sets your Ascendant, Midheaven and houses, which change roughly every two hours. The Moon also moves about 13 degrees a day. Use the most accurate time you have, ideally from a birth certificate.
Which house system should I pick?
Placidus is the most common in modern astrology. Whole sign is the traditional system and is used by profections and zodiacal releasing. Equal houses are a simple alternative.
Astrology is a symbolic tradition offered for reflection and entertainment, not a prediction or professional advice.
