I.What is this?
Zodiacal releasing is a timing method from Hellenistic astrology (about 2,000 years old, taught by Vettius Valens). It divides your life into chapters, each governed by a zodiac sign, then splits every chapter into smaller and smaller scenes. Where you are in the sequence tells you which sign, and so which planet, is “in charge” of the current stretch of life.
Enter your birth details below. You will get your two starting points (the Lots of Spirit and Fortune), the chapter you are in right now, your whole life laid out, and a plain-language walk through every calculation.

V.Your life in chapters
Tap any row to open the sub-periods inside it, and tap those to go deeper (Level 2, 3 and 4). The gold Peak marks periods that are angular to the Lot of Fortune, traditionally the busiest and most visible. Loosing marks a “loosing of the bond” jump.
VI.How it works, step by step
Open each step. Once you have calculated a chart, the steps fill in with your own numbers.
VII.Accuracy & cautions
Positions come from a compact model accurate to a few arc-minutes (1900–2099). That is ample for sign placement, but if the Moon, Sun or Ascendant is within about a degree of a sign edge, check with a professional ephemeris. The Ascendant needs an accurate birth time: an error of 4 minutes moves it about 1°, and a different Ascendant can move the Lots into another sign and change every chapter.
Zodiacal releasing is a traditional interpretive technique, not a scientific prediction. Treat the periods as symbolic themes for reflection, not as forecasts of events.
